NAME
The name of the Society shall be “THELANCASHIREANDCHESHIRE CRICKET SOCIETY”.
OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the Society are to further interest in and enthusiasm for cricket at all levels.
PRESIDENT
The Society shall have a President who shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting.
CONSTITUTION
The Society shall be governed by a Committee, consisting of the offices of Chairman, Hon. Secretary, Hon. Treasurer, with no more than eight (8) and no less than four (4) committee places. All officers and committee members shall be members of the Society.
- The Chairman, Hon. Secretary and Hon. Treasurer shall retire each year. They will be eligible to stand for immediate re-election.
- Committee members are each elected or re-elected for two (2) years. This means that half of the non-officer committee members come up for election each Annual General Meeting.
QUORUM
The quorum at Committee Meetings shall be five (5) including at least one officer of the Society and all General Meetings fifteen (15).
NOMINATIONS
Nominations for the offices of President, Chairman, Hon. Secretary and Hon. Treasurer and four (4) committee places shall be made in writing with the written consent of the nominees, to the Hon. Secretary at least 28 days prior to the date of the Annual General Meeting.
