George Harris was the recipient of the inaugural Barry Rickson Award for the outstanding performance by a Lancashire Academy player in 2025.
Seventeen-year-old Harris scored an outstanding 191 – his maiden century for the Second XI – in Lancashire’s first innings 328 in the final Second XI Championship match of the season against Gloucestershire at Blackpool C.C.
Harris was presented with the award along with a cheque for £250 by Lancashire & Cheshire Cricket Society committee member Dave Taylor at the Lancashire End of Season Awards night, held in The Point at Emirates Old Trafford on 10 October.
